It has the same applications as the ProPlus volume SKU, but the licensing method is different. You'll have to wait until the volume edition is available on VLSC.

VLSC = Volume Licensing Service Center.
Das bedeutet, am 27. April, wenn Software-Assurance-Kunden Office 2010 bekommen, wird es eine VL-Version geben. Ob diese dann auch für "normale" MSDN- oder Technet-Kunden verfügbar wird - darüber gibt es keine Aussage.
Somit bleibt fürs erst nur das basteln.
